PARIS – The last documentation day for antique quilts and quilts older than 1960 will be held at the Paris Hill Historical Society Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, on Tremont Street, across from the Paris Hill Post Office. Old quilts can be brought in for documentation by the heritage team from Pine Tree Quilters Guild of Maine.
Bring any information, written or oral, about the quilt. Wendy Caton Reed of Bath will analyze the quilts and give written documentation regarding the design, material, historical facts and approximate age. There is a limit of five quilts. For information, call Barbara Swan Frost at 743-8337.
Hymn festival planned
PARIS – A Festival of Hymns will be presented at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris.
The program will consist of congregational singing, vocal solos, duets, trios, instrumental variations, organ and piano duets and organ solos. Singers will be Karen Chapman, Jeannie Whittemore and Jeannie Byer. Renee Wales will be the flutist; Virginia Noble, pianist; and Forest Perkins, organist.
Refreshments will follow in Good Cheer Hall served by the Ladies of the Good Cheer Society. Everyone is invited.
Regular Sunday morning services will resume Sunday, Sept. 14.
Healing garden
to be topic

Culinary herbs lecture

Historical society to meet
WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will hold its July 21 meeting on North Pond at the Smith camp. The cookout will begin at 6 p.m. Everyone brings what they want to cook. The society will hold election of officers and collect the annual dues. New members are needed and welcome.
Women’s workshop
