AUBURN – Ethan Grund was presented the Jamie Benson Leadership Award at Fairview Elementary School on June 6.

The award is given to a sixth-grader who exhibits the qualities of leadership, service to Fairview, respect of others and who demonstrates good school citizenship, which were qualities Jamie possessed.

The foundation presented the school with a perpetual plaque upon which the recipient’s name will be engraved annually.

Grund has participated in science enrichment, children’s theater, been on the math and debate teams and was a member of Fairview Student Council and Safety Patrol. He is the son of Susan Pease and David Grund of Auburn.
