1914 – 2003

LEWISTON – Hazel Esther Adams, 88, a resident of the Sarah Frye Boarding Home in Auburn, died Saturday, July 12, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born Aug. 13, 1914, in East Livermore,a daughter of Roy and Alice Stevens Young. She attended Winthrop schools.

She was a homemaker to her husband, Robert Adams of Wilton, who died many years ago as a result of a construction accident. She enjoyed knitting and donated homemade mittens to several charitable organizations.

She is survived by two sisters, Edna Dumont of Lady Lake, Fla., and Louise Raymond of Winthrop; and several nieces and nephews.
