SABATTUS — A new American Flag was presented to Cub Scout Pack 116 on June 14 by Ashlar Lodge 105, AF and AM, of Auburn. The flag was presented by Worshipful Master Michael Farrell at Pack 116’s annual crossover ceremony at Boy Scout Camp Gustin.
The flag is 4 feet by 6 feet with fringe mounted on a eight-foot oak pole adorned with an American Eagle and tassel.
“I had told a few brothers of Ashlar Lodge that my pack was in need of a new American Flag, and they did not hesitate to fill our need,” said Cub Master Steve Peterson.
Pack 116 meets at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston and has around 20 boys from ages 7 to 10. For information on Cub Scouting, contact Peterson at 777-1728.
