HARTFORD – Harley Swanson, son of Harley and Colleen Swanson of Hartford, will represent Maine as a delegate to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology.

Swanson is a junior at Buckfield High School.

The forum will be held in San Jose, Calif., from July 27 to Aug. 5. It brings talented high school students to the heart of Silicon Valley for an interactive 10-day program of learning and exploration.

Swanson will attend labs and workshops and visit high-tech computer and multimedia companies.

The tuition, which does not include the cost of traveling, is $2,095. Through various fund-raising efforts Swanson has raised more than $750 toward the trip.
