NORWAY – The Child Health Center has been awarded two certificates of appreciation by the Maine Transportation Safety Coalition. One certificate was awarded to Suzanne Cook, coordinator of the Child Health Center’s ProtectME program for the development of the coalition’s Web site.
A second certificate was awarded to the Child Health Center’s Executive Director Roy Gedat for financial services provided to the coalition.
The Child Health Center is a nonprofit charitable organization whose purpose is to help improve the health and well being of children in western and central Maine. The Child Health Center is in Norway with branch offices in Auburn and Rumford.
ProtectME is one a several programs within the agency and is dedicated to the safety of children with an emphasis on child passenger safety. ProtectME offers free child passenger safety seat checks monthly in South Paris, Auburn and Rumford. ProtectME also offers free child safety seats to those who qualify.
