MECHANIC FALLS – Power went out for some residents in Mechanic Falls around 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon when a tree branch fell across three power lines on Water Street, causing them to short out and burn. Central Maine Power technicians were at the scene for most of the afternoon making repairs. Workers were still on the scene at 8 p.m., trying to restore power to the remaining 20 residents.
