OTISFIELD – The selectmen reviewed all correspondence regarding the Comprehensive Plan during a special meeting Wednesday night.

The plan is an update to one adopted in 1991. The update builds on that plan and includes changes that have occurred over the past 10 years.

After securing a planning grant from the state, the selectmen appointed nine members to the Comprehensive Planning Committee during the summer of 2001.

Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments provided technical support in developing the plan.

Correspondence included comments from the town attorney, AVCOG and a letter from a resident opposing the plan.

Board members voted to forward all of the correspondence to the Comprehensive Plan Committee for its review. They plan to contact the committee to set up a meeting.
