TOPSHAM – Flying Changes Center for Therapeutic Riding is seeking volunteers who would like to help with the organization of the second annual “Critterthon” benefit to be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the center.
Individuals, families and teams will collect sponsorships to benefit the center’s programs for special needs children and adults. Highlights will include the pet walk-a-thon, a grand parade, the awarding of prizes to pets and owners for the biggest, smallest, cutest, most unusual, best costume for pet or owner and pet owner look alike.
Shannon Moss of WCSH will participate with the Flying Changes Outreach Program’s miniature horse “Lily.”
The center needs volunteers to help with distributing registration packets, soliciting prize donations, coordinating refreshments and contacting potential team participants as well as people to help with the actual pet walk and activities.
