LEWISTON – The Child Health Center’s ProtectME Program donated free bicycle helmets for the 50 children who participated in a bicycle rodeo at the Multi-Purpose Center.
Those attending were offered free bike inspections by Roy’s Bicycle Shop of Lewiston and tips on bicycle safety, After being properly fitted with the free helmets and having their bicycles inspected for safety issues the children were given an opportunity to ride through an obstacle course.
The rodeo was a community event with the police cadets from Lewiston High School assisting with the obstacle course and officers from the Lewiston Police Department registering bicycles. Two bicycles were raffled at the end of the day.
