AUBURN – Pacios, Rausch and Co. has been named to receive the prestigious Founders Award presented by cpasnet.com.
Pacios, Rausch and Co. was selected from among more than 45,000 certified public accounting firms in the United States to receive the award.
Cornell Rudov, chairman of cpasnet.com, said, “Pacios, Rausch and Co.’s selection was determined by a panel of leading business professionals and establishes them as one of the nation’s finest business advising firms.”
The award is presented annually to the firm in public practice whose “leading research or scholarship demonstrated through written works and oratory and dedication to intellectual thinking provides greater insight and understanding to American commerce.”
Pacios, Rausch and Co. was formed in 1955 and has been serving closely-held businesses and their owners with specialized services that increase their profitability.
Maine strong credit union state
WESTBROOK – Recent figures from the Credit Union National Association show that for the third straight year Maine continues to be one of the strongest credit union states in the nation. According to the Maine Credit Union League, the figures show that more than 605,000 Mainers, or about 47 percent of the population, belonged to Credit Unions last year, the fifth-highest percentage among all states, trailing only Virginia, Alaska, Hawaii and Utah. The national average was 28.5 percent.
A spokesman for CUNA said that, throughout the nation, Maine is recognized as not only one of the strongest Credit Union states but also as one where members are particularly active and involved, especially in the area of community service.
The Maine Credit Union League is the state trade association for Maine’s 77-affiliated Credit Unions providing a variety of services and products to assist Credit Unions in meeting the needs of their membership.
