PORTLAND – Kennebunk resident William H. Pusey III, has been named chair of the University of Southern Maine Corporate Partners. He succeeds Bob Vitalius, CEO of Stroudwater Technologies in Portland.

The USM Corporate Partners was formed in 1989 to develop and support partnerships between the business sector and the University. Members act as advocates and as a resource for USM.

There are over 350 business people, from more than 150 companies, who are members of the Corporate Partners. USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College also has a Corporate Partners chapter.

Pusey received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. He is on the Board of Trustees for the Portland Stage Company and coaches a youth team for the Kennebunk Lacrosse Club.

Pusey joined Camden National Bank in 2001 to open the new Portland business financial center and now is AVP/regional branch manager, responsible for the development and operations of the Portland and Kennebunk offices of the bank.

Pusey is joined on the executive committee by Vice Chair Ralph R. Hendrix, director and COO at Macdonald Page Schatz Fletcher & Co., LLC. Hendrix, a resident of Scarborough, is a past president of the National Association for Accounting Administration and has been on the board of directors since 1994.
