I recently visited Auburn for a class reunion from Edward Little High School. The old ELHS buildings and grounds looked in fairly good condition. The present ELHS buildings and grounds have been forgotten. There appears to be no maintenance. The lawn is a disaster, the front steps are grown up with weeds, the siding shows damage and the place is, in general, a mess. The mismatched window curtains of various lengths and openings were very sad to see. Certainly the teachers could have left the windows in better shape at the school closing. I was very disappointed to see the school in such bad condition.

The taxes seem high enough to maintain the one high school so that students (past and present) may have pride in their school.

I hope this letter will bring the conditions to the attention of someone so that corrections are made to make the school look better.
