I travel the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge daily. Often, I travel at night.

I have noticed the lack of reflectors on the guardrails on either side of the roadway. Interestingly enough, there are some reflectors on the guardrails as you enter the Lewiston side, over Main street. Once you move onto the bridge, there are no reflectors anywhere, and the guardrails just seem to disappear. With reflectors on all guardrails, one would see it and would know exactly where it is. Even now, with the white line at the edge of the road, it is difficult to see them as they are not shinny, and on a dreary night, forget about it. Winter is especially dangerous.

I cannot believe that with all that this bridge has cost, we cannot find some money from our new gas tax to take care of this situation and thus make this very convenient roadway a safer place to travel.
