HUDSON, N.H. (AP) – The head of a New Hampshire manufacturing company has been killed in a car accident in New Jersey, the company said.

Richard S. Kalin, 43, of Mendham, N.J., was killed at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday when his car swerved off a southbound lane of the Garden State Parkway and hit a tree north of Atlantic City, state police said. He was alone in the car.

The cause of the accident was being investigated, police said.

Micronetics’ board of directors appointed David Robbins as its interim chief executive officer and director.

The company did not return a call seeking information on Kalin.

Micronetics, based in Hudson but with a facility in New Jersey, manufactures microwave and radio frequency components used in a variety of defense, aerospace and commercial applications.

The company also manufactures and designs test equipment and components that test the strength, durability and integrity of communication signals in communications equipment.

Micronetics customers include Aerosat, BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, an others.

The company, which also has facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts, operates through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Enon Microwave, Inc., Microwave & Video Systems, Inc. and Microwave Concepts, Inc.
