LEWISTON – Thirty-eight area teenagers are participating in the summer Junior Volunteer Program at Sisters of Charity Health System.

The teens are offering support services in numerous service areas throughout the health care campus, including St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home.

In addition to their daily services, the junior volunteers held a community car wash to benefit Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services at St. Mary’s, specifically to purchase gifts for young patients on the unit at Christmas time and to support the unit’s fund for their patient community integration activities.
