1920 – 2003

CANTON – Bertha F. Holman, 83, of Dixfield, died late Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home.

Born in Lisbon, March 17, 1920, a daughter of William G. and Ina May (Pitcher) Clark, she attended and graduated from Lisbon Center schools.

On Dec. 26, 1943, she married Charles Holman in Dixfield, where they made their home together.

Mrs. Holman was a former member of the Mystic Valley Grange in East Dixfield and the Grace Baptist Church in North Jay.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years; a son, William H. and Linda of Grandview, Mo.; and four sisters, Ethel Darling, Hazel Sawyer, Mildred Allen and Margaret Barrett.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Ina Belle and Marion Louise Holman in 1950.
