MEXICO – The Tri-Town Slow Pitch Softball League is hosting a slow pitch one-pitch tournament, August 23 at 8 a.m. at Mexico Rec Park. Entry fee is $100. Deadline is August 20.

Lewiston Men
LEWISTON – Rain-delayed playoff finals finally began Wednesday with a pair of upsets.
Ducharme Masonry knocked off Gipper’s/BT Pallet in the National League, and Advance Pools surprised Sabine Production in the American League. Game 2 in both series was set for last night. The “if” games are scheduled for Sunday, August 17 at 6 p.m. at Randall Road.
City Championship Series starts Monday, August 18 at 6 p.m.
Auburn Players
AUBURN -Kris Gilhooly came through with the game-winning hit in the last of the seventh as CarQuest/Fortin nipped B&B Catering 16-15.
Bob Fields and Dave Lapointe had key hits prior to the winning safety. Rob Farrington gained the mound win.
