LEWISTON – The city will install a new traffic light at the East Avenue/Malo Street intersection near the entrance of Lewiston High School.

The decision was approved by the City Council in September 2002 in response to many discussions about traffic congestion related to Lewiston High School.

The City Council and School Committee and city and school administrators considered various options, and the final decision is expected to relieve traffic congestion.
