BRYANT POND – The Whitman Memorial Library will be presenting an educational entertainment program for the participants in the summer reading program and story hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19.

This is open to the public at no charge.

Walt W. Williams and Mrs. Moose, New England’s own children’s musical artists, perform at libraries, schools, fairs and other events throughout New England, and they will share their original songs, dance and stories. The program will include topics like the oceans, New England wildlife and the seasons. Some favorite songs are “Laughing It Up at My Library,” “Reading Really Rocks,” and “Traveling Around the World in Maine.”

A special part of the program will be Mrs. Moose sharing sign language for the song “We’re Off to See the Sea.”

Tambourines and maracas will be available for those who would like to join in the fun. Children will also be taught The Mrs. Moose Shuffle as well as the Lobsta Crawl.

The program is made possible through a grant from the Oxford County Preschool Enrichment Trust.
