1919 – 2003
LEWISTON – Theresa M. Willard, 84, a resident of Auburn, died Saturday, Aug. 16, following a brief illness.
Born in Jay, Feb. 28, 1919, the daughter of Alphonse and Alphonsine St. Pierre Roy, she was raised and educated in Jay and was a graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1936.
On July 23, 1942, she married Shirley “Tack” Willard in Fryeburg and he passed away on Feb. 14, 1994. She was a homemaker and had also worked at the I.G.A. grocery store in East Auburn for 10 years and King’s Dept. Store for 16 years.
She was a communicant of St. Phillip’s Church in Auburn and a charter member of the Family Group of St. Phillip, where she was very active in the Christmas Fair.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Robert and Sally Willard of Lewiston and James and Theresa Willard of Sarasota, Fla.; a granddaughter, Dawn Willard-Robinson and husband, Peter Robinson; a great-grandchild, Gareth Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Roy and Arline Willard; a brother-in-law, Frank Beaudoin; and a special friend, Jeanine Beliveau.
She was predeceased by eight brothers, Armand, Robert, Tony, Edmore, Adrian, Rene, Raymond and Wilfred Roy; and three sisters, Loretta LaBerge, Corinne Johnson and Ruth Beaudoin.
