CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Due to the recent power outages in Northeast cities, the American Skiing Co. has extended the early season deadline to purchase season passes at its Eastern resorts. The deadline is Aug. 22; the original was Aug. 18.

“Some of our potential season’s pass holders may not have been able to meet the Aug. 18 deadline because of travel delays, phone or Internet problems, bank issues or the need to get homes or businesses back up and running,” said Chip Carey, senior vice president of sales and marketing for American Skiing Co. in a preapred statement.

American Skiing Co.’s Eastern resorts include Attitash Bear Peak in New Hampshire, Killington and Mount Snow in Vermont and Sunday River and Sugarloaf/USA in Maine.
