KINGFIELD – Registrations are being accepted for the SAD 58 Adult Education fall courses and Interactive Television System. Bob Ellis, director of ITV for UMA Rumford, will be at the superintendent’s office from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, to assist students with their courses.

The Adult Education office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The following courses begin the week of Sept. 2.

On Mondays, a pre-General Education Development English writing course will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. and creative writing from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, elementary algebra will be 8 to 10 a.m.; basic math, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and high school math/algebra, 3 to 6:30 p.m.

Wednesdays, courses on social studies, U.S. history or world history will be 3 to 6 p.m., depending on need.

Spanish and French classes will be scheduled, based on the number of registrations.

A first-aid recertification course will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the superintendent’s office building.

Those interested are advised to register immediately as only the first 16 people will be accepted.

A trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands for Feb. 13 is still open.
