JAY – Jay School Committee voted unanimously Monday to deny a teacher’s grievance at the school board level.
The grievance had previously been denied by a building principal and former Superintendent Stephen Cottrell.
The board held a hearing at the committee level on the grievance last week. Committee members met at 6:30 a.m. to meet a five-day time restriction to act on the grievance.
Jay Education Association President Sherry Gilbert declined to discuss the board’s action.
