WILTON – The Incredible Seniors bowling league will begin a new season starting at noon Thursday, Sept. 4, at Meadow Lanes Bowling Center in East Wilton. Science workshop

RANGELEY – The Way of the Coyote will be the topic for the final Natural Science Workshop of the season from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Wilhelm Reich Museum on Dodge Pond Road. Local animal observer Walter Pepperman of Oquossoc will offer an informal look at coyote habit and habitat. An easy hike around the museum trails will be incorporated into this talk. Attendees will meet at the sheltered classroom by the observatory. The program is offered free of charge to the public. For more information, phone 864-3443.

Gospel concert

FARMINGTON – The group, Fishers of Men, will perform a free gospel music program at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, in Meeting House park gazebo. Well-known songs will be played and sung. In the case of rain, the program will be canceled. For information, phone 364-4610.

Food, yard sale

KINGFIELD – There will be food and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at the Webster Hall parking lot on School Street or inside the hall in case of rain. All money collected will go toward replacing sills at the United Methodist Church. Donations of food, household items, time and money are being sought. Lodge supper

FARMINGTON – Maine Lodge No. 20 will meet for a supper at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at the lodge. After the supper there will be a Fellow Craft Degree and a business meeting. All entitled Masons are welcome to attend.

Blood drive

FARMINGTON – Both Wal-Mart and the University of Maine at Farmington will team up with the American Red Cross to host blood drives in September. The American Red Cross’ new Mobile Donor Coach will be open for blood donations from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Wal-Mart. Donors should schedule an appointment with Peter Zanoni at Wal-Mart at 778-5344. Walk-ins will be accepted only if space is available. Another blood drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the North Dining Hall at UMF. Phone Kelly White at 778-8101 for more information or an appointment. Fishing derby

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold a fishing derby from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 6, at Rollo Pond on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington. The fishing derby is open to children age 5 and under and the important men in their lives. To participate phone 778-6960 to register. The derby is open to the first 40 participants. The task force has a limited number of fishing poles available. Lunch will be provided, however, participants are asked to bring beverages. The fishing derby is funded from a grant from the Maine Association for Mental Health.
