1917 – 2003
ORLANDO, Fla. – Irving C. Felker Sr., 86, a longtime resident of Casco and Cumberland now residing in Davenport, Fla., died at Florida Hospital South Monday, Aug. 11, following a brief illness.
He was born May 2, 1917, in Poland, the son of Herbert and Edith (Ray) Felker of Poland. He served in World War II as an artillery gun crewman participating in battles at the Northern Solomon and Luzon receiving a honorable discharge in December 1945.
He worked as a carpenter for Merton Symonds of Casco before retiring and moving to Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Evie (Grover) Felker of Davenport, Fla.; his son, Irving Felker Jr. and his wife Donna of Yarmouth; a daughter, Judy Jones of Lewiston; brothers, Charles of Mechanic Falls and Raymond of Poland; and a sister, Leona Richardson of Bath; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by wife, Lillian (Walker) Felker; sister, Olive (Bragdon) Snow; and brother, Herbert.
