1921 – 2003

LEWISTON – Marion C. Gibson, 82, of 63 Nichols St., Lewiston, died Monday evening, Aug. 25, at d’Youville Pavilion following a two year battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on March 3, 1921, the daughter of Eugene and Margaret (Craig) Cates. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School.

She was the widow of Richard Gibson whom she married in 1947 and who died on Feb. 2, 2002. She worked for many years at Bates Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

She is survived by one nephew, Royce Day of Florida; and her godchild, Michelle Boucher of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Day.
