St. Dom’s class marks half century
AUBURN – The 50th class reunion, dedicated to the late Rev. Herve Francois M. Drouin, founder of the school, was celebrated on Aug. 2 in the school cafetorium.
Prior to the celebration, Pamela Kay conducted a tour of the school. Followed by a Mass celebrated by a graduate of the class of ’53, Monsignor Charles Murphy of The Holy Martyr Parish, Falmouth, assisted by altar server and Eucharist minister, Sister Claire Descoteaux, a Dominican nun, also a graduate of ’53, recently reassigned from Japan.
Following the social hour and meal, a certificate from St. Dom’s High School, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the graduation of that class, was presented to each graduate. Murphy and Sister Claire presented the certificates, along with a gift to each attendee. Live music, performed by Vintage, completed an evening of dancing, socializing and reminiscing.
