1951 – 2003

LEWISTON – Craig Allen Maxim, 52, of Livermore, died Saturday, Aug. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Augusta on Jan. 30, 1951, the son of Francis and Lula (Burnham) Maxim. He was educated in Wayne and worked in local shoe shops, including Franklin Shoe and Livermore Shoe. He was most recently, starting a shingle mill of his own.

He was a very talented wood worker known for his jewelry boxes. He also enjoyed gardening, old cars and prospecting for gold. He was a member of the Jay Seventh Day Adventist Church and truly loved his Lord.

Craig was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Francis Maxim Jr. He is survived by four sons, Michael Maxim and his wife, Claire, of Farmington, Benjamin, Corey and Richard Maxim, all of Livermore; a sister, Geraldine Parlin and her husband, Henry, of Livermore; along with several nieces and nephews.
