1962 – 2003

RANGELEY – Eugene A. Lavorgna, 41, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, in Rangeley as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a resident of Osgood Avenue in Mexico.

Born in Rumford, on July 16, 1962, he was the son of Anthony and Gloria (Arsenault) Lavorgna. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and Eastern Maine Technical College. He worked for as a Pipe Welder for area construction companies.

He was a member of the Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, FOE, Mexico Trail Blazers, Pipe Welders Union 716, Webb River Sportsman Club, United Bikers of Maine and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Mexico.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler, motorcyclist. He enjoyed going to Prince Edward Island, Canada. He was very involved with his family giving of himself selflessly. He often used the phrase “You can’t have too much fun.”

He is survived by his son, Christopher and daughter, Hilary of Swanton, Vt., and their mother, Jane of Swanton, Vt.; his parents, Anthony and Gloria Lavorgna of Mexico; five brothers, Edward, Danny and Dale of Mexico, Joseph and his wife Pattie of Dixfield and David of Byron; a sister, Paris White and her husband Larry of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.
