LEWISTON – Ronald Fournier has been appointed by mayoral candidate Lionel Guay to be in charge of all the finances relating to his campaign.

“I strongly support Lionel’s bid for mayor because of his outstanding management skills, organizational skills and his selfless dedication to the community,” Fournier said.

Fournier has more than 30 years of experience in the financial service industry. He is president of the Maine Family Federal Credit Union, a post he has held 17 years. He previously worked for Community Credit Union, Androscoggin Bank, Norway National Bank and First Bank.

He has been an officer of the Knights of Columbus Council 106 in Lewiston and a member of the Fourth Degree Wallace Assembly for many years. He is a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Festival de Joie for the past 10 years. Fournier has served on the board of the Maine Credit Union League, the trade organization for the credit unions in the state of Maine and on the board of directors of the local chapter of the American Institute of Banking.

Fournier has also been involved as a board member and treasurer of the Franco-American Heritage Center at St.Mary’s and is a member of the construction committee for the project.

He and his wife, Lorraine, reside in Lewiston
