The Area Youth Sports (AYS) Jets of Jay-Livermore picked up two wins this week over the Auburn Recs in the Western Maine Seventh-Eighth-Grade Football League.
The varsity Jets registered a 28-6 win over Auburn. In jayvee action, the Jets edged Auburn 14-6.
Field hockey planned
AUBURN – Adult recreation field hockey is planned on Sundays from September 7 to November 2 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Cleveland Street Field, Auburn.
Registration can be made at the field or with the Auburn Recreation Department at 784-0191.
Lewiston Elks pool
LEWISTON – The team of J.R. Levasseur-Gerry Vautour took top honors in the Wednesday night Lewiston Elks Pool League.
Second place went to the team of Dan Asselin-Mike Fortier.
Finishing third was the unit of Ray Gagnon-Andy Gagne.
