LEWISTON – Activity coordinator Virginia Kirschmann of Intown Manor Boarding home has invited the Pentecostal Kids’ Church, The Jesus Party and the Salvation Army of Lewiston to participate in the in-house closing ceremony of the 13th Annual Residential Care Week.

The children’s ministry will host a Proud to be an American Celebration at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at 81 Ash St. Doug and Sonia Taylor, Jesus Party directors, will sing patriotic hymns and present 15 of the home’s veterans with special gifts for their past sacrifice and service to the United States.

Capt. John Bennett and members of the Salvation Army will distribute American flags and yellow ribbons to all residents of the home. Jesus Party kids will extend a chain of white lights in memory of all those who lost their lives associated with the attack on America two years ago on Sept. 11, 2001.
