LEWISTON – The Stanton Bird Club will host a field trip to Morse Mountain in Bath on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Migrating raptors pass through southern Maine in impressive numbers and this coastal mountain provides a good viewing spot for hawks, vultures and eagles, as well as cormorants and migrating shorebirds, said a representative for the club.

People will meet at Promenade Mall in Lewiston, at East Avenue and Lisbon Street, in front of the Staples store at 7 a.m. Departure is at 7:05 a.m. so participants are urged to arrive on time. The trip is open to everyone, and there is no charge. For more information, people can contact trip leader Tom Hayward, 782-5238.
