Mt. Abram overpowers Livermore Falls in soccer

LIVERMORE FALLS – Sam Witherspoon scored four goals for Mt. Abram in an 8-0 victory over Livermore Falls.

Damien Wood had three assists for the Roadrunners.

Livermore Falls goalie Jimmy Smith made 32 saves. The Andies were held to two shots.

Fryeburg 2, Lake Region 0

FRYEBURG – Jeval Douglas notched a goal and an assist to lead Fryeburg to a 2-0 win over Lake Region in WMC soccer action Wednesday.

Eli Hutchins chipped in with a goal, while Jamel Torres recorded an assist for the Raiders (1-1).

Shannon Philpot and Matt Duggen combined to make 15 saves for the Raiders, while Duncan Ross stopped 16 shots in net for the Lakers (0-2).

Gray New-Gloucester 5, Gorham 2

GRAY – Andrew Worth netted three goals Wednesday to pace Gray New-Gloucester to a 5-2 win over Gorham in WMC soccer action.

Eric Trinward and Dustin Cormier tallied one goal each for the Patriots (1-0).

Scoring for the Rams (0-1-1) were Adam Tanguay and Philip Reed. Will Pike made four saves in the loss.

St. Dom’s 10, Richmond 1

RICHMOND – Josh Dwinal had a hat trick and Narcisse Agounke added two goals as St. Dom’s beat Richmond 10-1 in a boys’ soccer match.

The Saints outshot Richmond 34-5. Matt Hamson scored the only goal for Richmond.

Georges Valley 2, Lisbon 0

LISBON – Mark Chamberlain and Sean Carlson each netted a goal as Georges Valley beat Lisbon 2-0 in a physical MVC boys soccer contest.

David Wilgus was credited with both assists for the Buccaneers (2-0) win.

Jake Hull made eight saves for Georges Valley. In net for the Greyhounds (0-2) was Mike Wilkins, who stopped 20 shots.

Monmouth 1, Wiscasset 0

MONMOUTH – Shane Kibler scored the only goal of the game as Monmouth edged Wiscasset 1-0.

Steve Werter was credited with an assist. Kyle Pelletier stopped 11 shots.
