PENSACOLA, Fla. – Sandra Whitney, 52, formerly of Gray, died suddenly in Florida, after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 15, 1950, she recently moved to Pensacola, Fla. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Rumford, the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Blunda Cayer and was a 1969 graduate of Rumford High School.
She taught at the Memorial School in New Gloucester for 15 years. She was a member of New Gloucester Bible Church and Perdido Bay Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and reading. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but find comfort in her faith for she is with the Lord.
She leaves behind a loving husband, Donald W. Whitney, whom she married in May of 1972; her son, Michael M. Whitney and his wife, Jackie and two grandchildren, Mikaela and Hunter of Pensacola, Fla.; her daughter, Tina M Whitney of Gray; and her brothers, Alan Cayer of Rumford and Robert Cayer of Gray.
