PARIS – Winni Mott of Paris Hill will be the program speaker at the 2 p.m. meeting of the Paris Cape Historical Society on Thursday, Sept. 18, in the vestry of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Route 117, South Paris.
President Albert Dignan will lead the brief meeting before Mott talks about the life of Emily Bissell of Willington, Dela., who enjoyed summer visits to Paris Hill. Bissell was the originator of the Christmas Seals in 1907 as the method to raise funds to fight tuberculosis. Any member who has saved any of these seals is encouraged to bring them to the meeting.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
