MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in the Calvin Lyons meeting hall located at the back of the town hall. A covered dish supper will be served. Those attending should bring a dish. Guest speaker will be Joe Sirois, executive director of Oxford County ARC.

Expo on tap

RUMFORD – The River Valley Expo will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26 to 27, at the Mountain Valley High School, 799 Hancock St. There will be over 150 exhibits. On Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. businesses will have the opportunity to network with other businesses. Business identification will be needed for admission on Friday. The Expo is open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, with no admission fee.

Alzheimer’s walk

RUMFORD – Walkers in the annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk to benefit the Maine Alzheimer’s Association will stride off from Rumford Community Home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4. Two routes, a short one-mile walk and a gentle 3.5 mile jaunt, are options. The walk is open to individuals as well as family or business teams.
