LAKE PARK, Fla. – Manuel Andrade, 80, of Lake Park, Fla., passed away at a local hospital on Friday afternoon, Sept. 12, after an extended illness.

He was born in Providence, R.I., son of the late Carlos and Etelvina Monteiro Andrade, and resided in Poland from 1969 to 2001. He was a seasonal resident of Lake Park for many years before moving there permanently two years ago.

“Andy” was a United States Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a former member of Martindale Country Club, Auburn, and a member of North Palm Beach Country Club, North Palm Beach, Fla.

His wife would like all the friends and colleagues to remember Andy just as he was in life, an honorable man who never had a harsh word for anyone.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Trudi Andrade; four children, Marjorie Ruzzo and Frank Andrade of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Carl Andrade of Nashua, N.H., and Millicent Millett of Waterford; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Otis of Singer Island, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Andrade of Cranston, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Andrade. The family will celebrate Andy’s life at a private funeral service.
