MONTREAL (AP) – Patrice Bergeron scored a power-play goal 1:14 into overtime, giving the Boston Bruins a 1-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens Thursday.
Brian Rolston and Ivan Huml assisted on Bergeron’s winner after Montreal defenseman Francois Beauchemin was called for interference with 43 seconds remaining in the third.
Bruins goalie Andrew Raycroft made 18 saves.
through the first two periods before giving way to Hannu Toivonen, who stopped six shots the rest of the way.
