I find it necessary to respond to Arnold Farr’s letter to the editor (Sept. 13).

In his letter, he stated he would like to state some facts about the Bush presidency. First let me say that he didn’t state a single fact. He stated only his opinion. I would like to state my opinion on some of the issues Arnold Farr touched on.

He claims the recent tax cuts benefit mainly the rich. I would have to disagree. The tax cuts have helped millions of middle income families, including my own.

Farr blames the Enron scandal on Bush and Vice President Cheney when, in fact, the scandle started long before they stepped foot in the White House.

Farr touched on several more issues that in his opinion were caused by President Bush. Of all the issues he touched on, the one that struck a nerve with me was blaming, in part, President Bush for the Sept. 11 tragedy. In case Arnold Farr forgot, Islamic extremists tried in 1993 to kill and maim innocent people with a car bomb under the World Trade Center. George Bush had not yet come to town. The ruthless psychopaths that were involved with the murder of almost 3,000 innocent people on Sept. 11 carry the blame on their own. For Farr to put blame on George Bush is, in my opinion, disgraceful.
