RANGELEY – Trevor Gray netted two unassisted goals to lead Rangeley to a 3-1 win over Averill in boys’ soccer on rainy Tuesday afternoon.

Tyler Philbrick added an unassisted goal for the Lakers’ (3-2-2) win.

The Beavers (1-4-1) were led by Steve Manchester who converted a pass from Corey Groves for the lone goal.

Dustin Duchesne made five saves for Rangeley, while Jake Russel stopped 22 shots for the Averill.

Girls’ soccer

Hall-Dale 2, Monmouth 1

FARMINGDALE – With 2:12 left in double overtime, Amy Leach tucked away a pass from Allison Galucki to lift Hall-Dale to a 2-1 win over Monmouth on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

Galucki converted a pass from Leach for the Bulldogs’ (1-6) first goal, which came in the second half. Alex Gauthier scored the Mustangs’ (3-3-1) lone goal unassisted.

Lindsay Narin made 16 saves in net for Hall-Dale, while Jessica Gray stopped 12 for Monmouth.

Field hockey

Colby 2, UMF 1

WATERVILLE – Wendy Bonner scored two goals, leading the Colby College field hockey team to a 2-1 win over the University of Maine at Farmington Tuesday.

Mary Sinclair netted the lone UMF goal with 1:46 remaining in the first half of the contest.

Molly Rice made four stops for Colby, while Ashleigh Blette kept UMF in the game with 17 saves.

Men’s soccer

Thomas 0, St. Joe’s 0

WATERVILLE – Thomas College (2-5-1) and St. Joseph’s College (1-5-2) played to a scoreless tie in a downpour which lasted throughout the game Tuesday.

St. Joe’s keeper Jeff Yeager made seven saves, while Thomas keeper Ryan Conrad made 10.

Women’s soccer

Bowdoin 2, Plymouth 0

BRUNSWICK – Cedar Goldman and Elizabeth Graham each notched goals late in the second half to lift Bowdoin to a 2-0 win over Plymouth State in women’s soccer Tuesday afternoon.

Goldman’s goal came off an assist from Christine Goss for the Polar Bears’ (5-0) win.

Rebekah Metzler made four saves for the shutout, while Hayley Quinones stopped 10 shots for the Panthers (4-1-1).

Colby 3, St. Joe’s 0

WATERVILLE – Laura Williamson scored her fourth goal of the season as the Colby College women’s soccer team collected a 3-0 victory against St. Joseph’s College Tuesday.

Liz Morbeck and Meg Cordner each chipped in with a goal for the White Mules (3-1-1), while Kara McCabe was credited with an assist.

Liza Benson made two stops for the shutout, while the Monks’ Shana Howard made 15 saves.
