AUBURN – Frances P. Ray, 76, of Auburn, died Sunday, Sept. 28 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Messina, N.Y., April 27, 1927, she graduated from Edward Little High School. She worked for many years as ward secretary at Central Maine Medical Center on M3.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and loved animals, creative projects and traveling.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Lawrence J. Ray Jr.; her daughter, Patricia (Theberge) Ray of Auburn; two sons, Richard of Palm Beach, Fla., and Scott and his wife Sharon of Turner; four grandchildren, James, Dustin and Kari Ray of Maine, and Dylan Theberge with the United States Marine Corps; her sister-in-law, Connie Tracy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Cathy Ray; her father, Levi DuPont; a sister, Doris Howard; two brothers, Clyde (Tom) Tracy Jr., and Edwin DuPont; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Norman.
