LISBON FALLS – Crafters, artists, nonprofit groups antique dealers and those with leftover yard sale items are invited to participate at Oktoberfest 2003 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Maurice Bonneau’s Sausage Kitchen, formerly Law’s Nursery, Ridge Road.

Table rental has been reduced to $10. The grounds will open at 7 a.m. for exhibitors to set up their wares.

A day includes the quartet Sounds Easy performing at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ronnie Wright, local songstress on her keyboard, and Joe Therriault, with his accordion, will perform throughout the day.

A scarecrow contest with prizes for children under 12, those over 12, family, group and business categories and a pumpkin carving/decorating contest in two age groups are planned.

The posters to advertise the event were done as a contest by students in the art class at Lisbon High School. Winners will be announced at a later date.
