JAY – Brad Loon bounced a goal into the net for the eventual game-winner as Jay edged Livermore Falls 2-1 in MVC boys’ soccer action Monday.

Both squads had difficulty maneuvering on the slick muddy field under the lights, however Justin Jacques and Loon managed to provide the Tigers with all the scoring necessary by scoring off headers in the first half.

The Andies scored their lone goal midway through the second half when Keith Smith relayed an outside cross to Mike Chamard, who buried the ball into the center of the net.

Oak Hill 2, MCI 1

PITTSFIELD – Jason Guerette notched a goal and an assist as Oak Hill slipped past MCI 2-1 in boys’ soccer action Monday.

Pat Duchette chipped in with a goal for the Raiders (1-8). Both Guerette and Duchette helped control play in the offensive end. Mike Eaton was credited with an assist.

Jason Yim scored the lone goal for MCI (1-8).

John Dagget was solid in net, making 21 saves for Oak Hill, while Mike Burnham stopped 16 shots for the Huskies.
