GREENVILLE – William Aridas, 59, of West Paris, died Sept. 17 due to burns received in an airplane accident on Sept. 14 in the Greenville area.
He was the son of Nicholas and Helen Aridas of Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was married to Virginia Inman of West Paris for 17 years. They spent summers in West Paris and wintered at Lady Lake, Fla.
He enjoyed life and people wherever he happened to be. His hobbies were fishing, golf, hunting and snowmobiling with family and friends. He was a charter member of the Bikini Beach Greenwood City Yacht Club.
He will be missed by his wife, daughters and extended family members of New York and Maine.
Survivors include two daughters, Jill and Rocky O’Keefe of Smithtown, N.Y., and Nicole and Pete Galgano of Miller Place, N.Y.; his parents, Helen and Nicholas Aridas; a brother, Jim and and his wife Rosemary Aridas of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a sister, Connie and her husband Alex Ioannidis of Brooklyn, N.Y. He had one grandson, Connor, with whom he loved spending time.
