TURNER – Jessica Palodino netted a hat trick Thursday afternoon to send Leavitt to a 5-1 victory over MCI in a field hockey matchup Thursday.

Samantha St. Hilaire tallied a pair of goals for the Hornets (8-2) to complete the scoring.

Sarah Frost scored the lone goal for MCI (2-7), while Courtney Hope made 22 saves in net.

Lewiston 2, Oxf. Hills 1

LEWISTON – Ashley Scott nudged the ball to Lauren St. Laurent, who slipped it past the goalie to break a 1-1 tie and lift Lewiston to a 2-1 win over Oxford Hills Thursday.

Allison Bleakeney also converted a pass from Alyson St. Pierre to score the first goal of the game for the Devils (4-6). Bailey Holloway scored the lone goal for the Vikings (5-5-1).

Angie St. Hilaire recorded 12 saves fot he Devils, while Val Seams fended off 16 shots for the Vikings.

Falmouth 2, Gray-NG 0

GRAY- Falmouth’s Hannah Millick smashed in a goal with 6:26 left in the first half to send Falmouth to a 2-0 shutout victory over Gray-New Gloucester.

Alli Hallowell added an insurance goal late in the second half for the Yachtsmen (5-4-1).

Goalie Alyssa Clark had 12 saves for the Patriots (1-9).

Edw. Little 0, Mt. Ararat 0

TOPSHAM – Edward Little and Mt. Ararat worked up and down the field Thursday but fought to a 0-0 tie.

Kelly Parent and midfielder Becky Hughes both played strong defensive games for the Red Eddies (6-3-1), while Mary Martin and Katy Ouellette combined for eight saves in net.

Katy Strout turned back 11 shots in net for the Eagles (2-7-1).

Mt. Blue 3, Brunswick 0

FARMINGTON – Meghan Ladd scored a pair of goals to lead Mt. Blue to a 3-0 win over Brunswick in KVAC field hockey action Thursday.

The Cougars (5-4-1) dominated the action, outshooting the Dragons (2-7-1) by a margin of 18-1. Heidi Judkins sealed the victory with 38 seconds left by tallying the third Cougars goal of the contest.

Natasha Revals made 16 saves for the Dragons, while Aubrey Ramos deflected the only shot she saw to preserve the shutout.

Soccer
St. Dom’s 5, Richmond 0

RICHMOND- Abby Gilbert scored early in the first half to send St. Dom’s to an easy 5-0 shutout victory over Richmond Thursday afternoon.

Gilbert also had an assist. Lindsay Rowbotham added a pair of goals for the Saints (5-5), while Sarah Caron had a goal and an assist. Lauren Potvin also scored late in the last half.

For Richmond, goalie Heather Martin defended 18 shots.

Georges Valley 4, Monmouth 1

MONMOUTH – Georges Valley’s A.J. Staples converted a wild ball from Jessie Wilgas and drilled the ball into the net midway through the first half to help lead unbeaten Georges Valley to a 4-1 win over Monmouth.

The Buccaneers’ (9-0) Mark Chamberlain, Lysha Spreaque and Nick Mawler also scored for the Buccaneers (9-0).

Mark Wade of Monmouth (7-3) converted a pass from Stew Isaacson to give his team its lone goal.

Lewiston 6, Gardiner 0

LEWISTON – Mallory Long scored a pair of goals to spark Lewiston to a 6-0 shutout over Gardiner Thursday in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action.

The Devils’ (9-0-1) Katie Morin scored midway through the second half and also assisted on four goals. Laura Martel and Alyson Morin also scored.

Goalie Lindsay Thornton had 31 saves for Gardiner.

Leavitt 2, Cony 0

TURNER – Emily Page and Allie Kenney tallied single goals to lead Leavitt to a 2-0 victory over Cony in a KVAC matchup.

Page put the Hornets (3-4-2) up by one in the first half, then Kenney scored off a corner kick in the second half to seal the deal. Jordan Beall turned back 17 shots in net to notch the shutout. Stephanie Healey played a strong game at midfield, while Anni Dyer contributed defensively to the win.

Bri Rende made seven saves in net for the Rams (1-8).

Dirigo 5, Carrabec 0

NORTH ANSON – Brooke Weston scored four goals to propel Dirigo to a 5-0 victory over Carrabec in girls’ soccer action.

Dani Glover provided a pair of assists for the Cougars (4-4), while Kassi Putnam added a single goal to complete the scoring.

Amy Campbell turned back 14 shots in net for the Cobras.
