1911 – 2003

LEWISTON – Elsie M. Cadrin, 92, formerly of 1130 Sabattus St., Lewiston, died Thursday, Oct. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a 23-year off and on battle with cancer.

Born in Keegan, May 29, 1911, the daughter of Archille and Eleanor (Rossignol) Parent, she was educated in Keegan schools.

On Sept. 29, 1935 she married Adelard Cadrin, who died on March 24, 1988. She had been a housewife most of her life but had also worked in the local shoe industry. She attended Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus.

Mrs. Cadrin always had a smile and was always willing to help anyone at any time. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Roger Cadrin and his wife, Nancy of Lewiston; one daughter, Cecile Aube and her husband, Roger of Auburn; three grandchildren, Cheryl Cadrin, Tracy Coburn and her husband, Chris and Chad Aube; two sisters, Agnes Pelletier of Lewiston and Clara Poitras and her husband, Alfred of Lawrence, Mass.; and a sister-in-law, Rita Parent of Watertown, Mass.

She was predeceased by her husband, Adelard Cadrin; one son, Adelard Jr.; one sister, Mary Ann Baker; and two brothers, Paul Parent of Watertown, Mass., and Albert Parent of Hartford, Conn.
