STRATTON – The Dead River Area Historical Society is selling 2004 photo calendars as a fund-raiser.
The cover features Eddie LeClair, who died recently at age 97. January’s photo is Flagstaff’s hotel and post office around 1900. February shows Deb Sylvester on his trap line about 1940.
March depicts the seventh- and eighth-grade at Stratton School in 1951, while April’s photo is Herman Hatch, deputy sheriff during prohibition 1930. May features Mabel Kakhonen, 96, and June recalls the Flagstaff High School graduating class of 1940.
July carries a photo of Geraldine (Ames) Bandlow, Barbara (Wing) Scribner and Beulah (Ames) Skilling, taken at Olive Bradbury’s camp, Flagstaff, in the 1940s. August shows Warren Meyer and September, the Stratton High School boys’ basketball team of 1959.
October’s photo is of road construction at the (bluffs) between Kingfield and Stratton. November’s photo is of the Targett family taken in November 2002. The final photo in December is of Gordon Hatch when he was boxing about 1932-34.
