LEWISTON – The Basics of Starting a Small Business will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9, 16 and 26 at Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

The three sessions are designed to help women explore business ownership and identify the steps to starting a small business. The sessions will help participants decide whether going into business is right for them.

In addition, participants will learn how to market their businesses and how to use cash flow projections and other financial tools.

By the end of the workshops, participants will know what a business plan is, have a head start on preparing a plan, and know how to go forward with their ideas.

Sponsored by the Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community and the Women’s Business Center at Coastal Enterprises, Inc., the sessions are free of charge. Registration is required.
